KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Pulitzer-Prize winning photojournalist Smiley Pool, of The Dallas Morning News, will share his Pulitzer-Prize winning photographs from Hurricane Katrina coverage and his personal work of 20+ years of covering children with HIV and AIDS in Romania. Smiley will also share behind-the-scene footage of his coverage of the Dallas Police Shootings, which was a 2017 Pulitzer-Prize finalist.

Mini-premiere at College of Business at Delta State University. Free and open to public. Community members and students will be at program.

PRESENTATION - 9-time regional Emmy-winning videographer Eric Seals, of the Detroit Free Press, will share work from covering 2018 Winter Olympics, and discuss the importance of learning from mistakes, cultivating working relationships with mentors.

Student presentation for Meek School of Journalism
and New Media. Student participants will speak about their experience and share their projects. Program free
and open to the public. 

SAT., March 31, 2018  EVENTS 

9 a.m. - Overby Center Auditorium  

PRESENTATION - Award-winning photojournalist and Ohio University School of Visual Communication professor, Josh Birnbaum, will share work from his newly released released coffee table book Dream Shot: The Journey a Wheelchair Basketball National Championship. He will have a book signing (book is $20) immediately after his presentation. 

6:30 p.m. - Crossroads Cultural Arts Center

Community engagement program with students and community members who were documented. Program is free and open to the public.
